Mabie Todd Swan 3230

Regular price £85.00

The Mabie Todd Swan 3230 was produced in the late 1940s in England this is a very fine example.

The pen is in near mint condition and shows no signs of use.  It is unusual in that the colour is still as bright as it was when new, the majority of 1940s grey pens are discoloured to an unsightly yellow/brown colour.  Many manufacturers, including Mabie Todd, abandoned the colour for this reason.

Mabie Todd were very protective of their Swan brand, every component bears a Swan name or logo.  The barrel, section, nib, feed, and cap are all clearly marked on this pen.

A lever filler, the pen has an unusually long Gold filled lever, the filling is in excellent condition as it is on the clip and the two cap bands.

The 14Ct Gold nib, a Swan No. 2 with a medium point, appears to have some flex.
