Parker Duofold Senior Streamline in Red. 1929.

Regular price £225.00

The Parker Duofold was introduced in 1921 and modified to the 'Streamline' version, this pen, in 1929.  The 'Lucky Curve Banner' imprint was also removed in 1929 so, as this is a Streamline pen with a Lucky curve imprint it can be accurately dated to 1929.

The pen has been fully restored and is in excellent condition throughout.  The button filling system works very well and takes up a good volume of ink with just a single press on the button.  The large, and handsome Duofold 14Ct. Gold nib has a 'Christmas tree' feed and writes with a smooth, medium line.  Whilst not a flexible nib it does has a slightly 'soft', comfortable feel.

At a whopping 16.8cm. in length when posted this is an extremely large and impressive pen of the highest quality.  The pen's predecessor, and often this pen, is commonly referred to as a 'Parker Big Red'.  The photo shows it alongside the Parker Duofold junior.

At 93 years old and in such outstanding condition this is quite a rare and much sought after item.  It ranks as one of the most collectable vintage fountain pens.
