The Mk.I. Waterman Expert, this pencil. was made from the late 1980s to 1999, when it was replaced by the Mk.II.
The pencil, model number 30013, is finished in high gloss lacquer with an intense blue colour referred to as 'Bleu Outremer' in the Waterman catalogue. This translates as 'Ultramarine Blue' in English.
The pencil is in mint condition throughout, the only sign of use being the wear on the eraser.
The new high quality box will serve well for transportation, protection, and display.
It has a continuous feed mechanism, operated by twisting the cap to extend the lead. Removal of the eraser,whichcarries a 'spike' to remove any residual lead during replacement, gives access to spare leads stored in the barrel.
The Expert Mk.I., the most desirable of the Experts, is a high quality, extremely arttractive pencil with a very solid 'chunky' feel.
