Parker 51 Magnetix desk set.
Posted by Kevin Randle on
Vintage Parker 51 desk sets are very difficult to find, one in brand new condition is a rarity. This set is unused and in its original packing. The Parker 51 pen is uninked and perfect. The 'Magnetix' base incorporates a strong magnet which allows the pen to be located smoothly to the perfect angle. It's hard to imagine a better gift for a person who enjoys using a vintage pen on a regular basis.
Sheaffer Prelude Rainbow.

The Sheaffer Prelude Rainbow, although not a vintage pen is certain to be a much sought after collectors item. This is a really, really glamorous pen, Sheaffer did not make a great number of Prelude Rainbows and they are becoming very hard to find. This one is brand new, never inked and only handled, carefully, for the photographs. Not a lot to say, just look at it!!!
Aurora Magellano Ballpoint pen.

I don't usually have much to do with ballpoints but this Aurora Magellano, I think from around 1990s came into my possession and I was very impressed with the high quality 'feel' of the thing. I bet the Aurora fountain pens are a bit special.
Burnham B48 nib assembly.

This version of the Burnham B48 from around 1952 was fitted with a screw in, interchangeable nib assembly. The nib itself is a Gold Plated steel nib with almost all of the plating lost. The tip is fashioned by folding the ends of the tines to make a writing point. This particular nib is a Burnham B45 Broad nib, very smooth and, I would think, very durable. This would have been an important selling point at a time when fountain pens were used extensively in a business environment.
