Conklin Crescent Filler Limited Edition Demonstrator

Regular price

The Conklin Demonstrator Crescent Filler fountain pen is limited to 1898 numbered pieces world-wide, 1898 being the year that Conklin was founded.  This pen is stamped as No. 0126/1898, a quite early pen.

This is an unused example, supplied in the original Conklin presentation case.  It is in totally mint condition throughout and has no usage or storage marks.

Produced from transparent crystal red acrylic, the pen has a clear ink sac so the user is able to view the filling mechanism in action during filling and also to see at a glance how much ink remains before a refill is required.

The writer, Mark Twain, was vociferous in his praise for the original Crescent filler, perhaps he got a free pen or two.  A facsimile of his signature is engraved on the cap band.

At 14.3cm. capped, an impressive 16.5cm. when posted and a hefty girth, this is a very large substantial pen with a solid, high quality feel.  It is certainly a pen that 'makes a statement'.
