Parker Classic Gold Plated Millereaies Set.

Regular price £85.00

The Parker Classic was introduced to replace the Parker 180 in 1986, it is basically a 180 with a few updates.  This set, comprising a fountain and ballpoint pen was produced in 1990/91.

The set is in immaculate condition and may well be unused.  The fountain pen has the original Parker ink converter fitted, the ink sac is unstained, they were made with a blue tinge.  A new ink cartridge is included so the pen is ready to write in either configuration.  The original hard plastic case is sound and clean.

The 'Millereaies' design, meaning 'a thousand lines', has finely engraved longitudinal lines engraved on barrels and caps, each cap has a plain 'panel' or cartouche, and a plain cap band bearing the Parker name.

The ballpoint is a 'click' mechanism, pressing the button once to extend the point and again to retract.  Parker stopped making the Classic pens in 1994, although some new ballpoints have appeared online purporting to be Parker Classics, they are not made by Parker.

The Parker Classic Millereaies is an outrageously attractive, and extremely well made pen. pen.  It is an uncommon variant and is becoming very collectable, particularly so with  mint condition examples.
