Parker Duofold Streamline with flex nib. 1920s.

Regular price £125.00

The Parker Duofold was introduced in 1921 and modified to the 'Streamline' version, this pen, in the late 1920s.  This example, in black, has the early type 'Christmas tree' feed, it would have been made in the 20s.

The pen, Made in Canada, is a Senior size, 16cm. when posted.  Parker were not able to ship pens to Europe at the time so had established a Canadian branch to meet the demand, mainly from the U.K.

The pen has been fully restored, it has light usage marks but has a good surface and a clear barrel imprint.  The button filling system works very well and takes up a good volume of ink with just a single press on the button.  The large, and handsome Duofold 14Ct. Gold nib has the 'Christmas tree' feed and writes with a smooth line with a good deal of flex to add character to the lettering.  Someone with a decent 'hand' could produce interesting calligraphic effects.

At 16 cm. in length when posted this is an extremely large and impressive pen of the highest quality.  At around 95 years old it is quite a rare and much sought after item.  It ranks as one of the most collectable vintage Parker fountain pens.
