Parker Lady Duofold in blue

Regular price £35.00

This pen is now reserved

Parker 'Ladies' come in a variety of shapes and sizes, this one is the original 'Lady Duofold' introduced in 1958.  It has a screw on cap and an 'art deco' cap band.  The more common Parker Lady is the 'Parker 17 Lady' introduced in U.S.A. in 1961, and closely followed by the Lady Standard, neither of which had a screw cap.

The pen has been fuly serviced and tested and is in excellent condition.  The Blue surface is bright and vibrant and the Gold filling to the clip and decorated cap band is pristine.  The original 'pli glass' ink sac is only lightly stained, showing that the pen has been carefully stored.

The modified Aerometric filling system works well and the 14 Ct. Gold nib writes with a smooth, firm, fine line.  Although it is a small pen, it is perfectly comfortable, when posted, for the average user.  As the photograph shows, it is considerably larger than the Conway Stewart Dinkie.

The shape and proportions of the pen are identical to the larger Duofolds of the time, albeit the smallest of the range, it is very much a member of the Duofold family.  The Lady Duofold would make a first class every day vintage writer.
