Parker Parkette. c. 1934.

Regular price £65.00

The Parker Parkette is an example of Parker's rare jourmeys into the realm of lever fillers, pioneered by arch rival, Sheaffer.

This pen was made in Canada in the early 1930s, at a time when Canadian production was closely associated with England.  The Parker No. 20 nib, as on this pen, is frequently found on canadian Parkettes of the period.

Finished in black, the surface has a deep shine and a clear imprint. there is a small amount of tarnishing on the clip but the Gold plating on the cap bands and the lever have held up well.

The pen has been fully restored and tested.  The filling system works well, taking up a good volume of ink, and the 14Ct. gold nib is a superb writer.  it has good ink flow and writes with a super smooth medium line with a pleasing amount of flex.  Someone with a decent 'hand' would enjoy producing some impressive results with this nib.

The Parkette is not a common pen and this particular model is quite scarce.  It is a chunky, robust pen that would make a good every day vintage writer.
