The Waterman C/F was the first really practical cartridge filler, hence the name. It was released in 1954, just as the American branch of Waterman closed down and production moved completely to France. This Gold plated 'Grain D'Orge', or 'Barleycorn' model was one of the high end pens produced in the 1970s.
It is an extremely attractive pen, just a couple of nicks in the plating on the nib section, but otherwise in excellent condition. It has been serviced and tested, the 18Ct. gold nib writes with a super smooth medium line and has a very pleasing soft feel.
The pen has the original ink converter fitted, it works well. This is a very important consideration with a C/F as neither the converter or the ink cartridges are still in production and therefore extremely difficult to find.
One of the more rare C/Fs, the Gold Barleycorn pen is a high quality pen which is now very collectable.
