Waterman were a large pen company and were resilient enough to withstand the onslaught of the ballpoint. In the early 1950s they produced a 'W' series of lever filling fountain pens and this Waterman's W3 is a fine example.
The pen is finished in Blue with a Gold filled 'art deco' style clip and longitudinally engraved cap band. The barrel imprint identifying the pen as an English made Waterman's W3 is crisp and clear. The surface is excellent, it has clearly seen very little handling, and the Gold filling is also in very good condition.
The Waterman W3 14Ct. Gold nib writes with a fine, firm line, ideally suited to someone with small handwriting or for more datailed work.
This example is in exceptional condition make a really good, practical, every day vintage writer.
