Categorising vintage fountain pens on the basis of the manufacturer's name is one way to make a pen website more usable, a prime concern for collectablepens.  To include a section for all makers would, however defeat this aim so the most prolific makers: Parker, Sheaffer, Waterman, and Mabie Todd have their own collections and all other pens are listed as 'Other vintage fountain pens'.

The section also includes a number of items that could be described as vintage pen paraphernalia such as inkwells, inkstands, and display items.
