Parker 75 Flighter De Luxe

Regular price £110.00

The Parker 75 Flighter De Luxe, featuring  a Gold filled clip and cap stud, a concaved barrel end, and having the same dimensions as the 'standard' Parker 75, was introduced in 1970.  This is a fine example, carrying a dare code for 1981.

Presented in a new case, the pen is in excellent condition throughout and has been fully serviced and tested.  It is fitted with the original Parker ink converter and is supplied with a new Parker cartridge so it is ready to write in either configuration.

The steel band at the end of the nib section is graduated to enable the preferred orientation of the nib to be set.  The 75 nib can be rotated to give the optimum angle for a particular user, this is especially useful for left handed writers.  The large 14Ct. Gold nib produces a smooth and consistent medium line, it is a very well balanced and comfortable pen in use.

The 75 ranks, in my opinion, up with the 51 as a candidate for the best Parker ever made and it comes in a variety of very attractive finishes.  In terms of practicality as an every day writer, however, the Flighter version is supreme.  It is constructed in tough stainless steel and is incredibly strong and 'ding resistant'.  where you might think twice about shoving your very pretty Laque Thuya 75 in a pocket or bag there are no such worries with the Flighter, it's virtually indestructible.

The Parker 75 Flighter De Luxe is one of the less common 75 models.  It combines all the advanced features of the 75 with a robust build and practicality, making it an ideal vintage daily writer.  It is regarded as the best of the converter filling Flighters.
