The Parker 17 De Luxe was introduced in 1965 as an upgrade to the standard version.
This example, finished in red, has a chromed cap with Gold filled clip and red cap stud. It is in excellent condition, and has been fully serviced and tested. The surface is first class and the barrel imprint is crisp and clear. The original pli-glass ink sac has darkened slightly with age but it still retains transparency to check ink levels.
The aerometric type filling system works well and the 14Ct. Gold nib writes with a smooth, extra fine line. It is well suited to someone with a small 'hand' or for more detailed work. It would also make a good sketching pen.
The Parker 17 De Luxe is not a common pen by any means, one in such fine condition is quite hard to find. It is a very attractive, unusual, and practical pen, a good vintage every day writer.
