The Parker 61 Custom, identified by the gold cap, arrow motif, and clutch ring, was made, in England from 1961 until 1969.
This example is in excellent condition throughout, it has a good surface and retains the arrow motif on the section. The rolled Gold cap is ding free, the gold filled clip is straight and secure and the original pearl end stud is in good order.
The capillary filling system has been cleaned and flushed and works well. The 14Ct. Gold nib has a medium point, which produces a super smooth line, it is a pleasure to use.
The pen is housed in its original Parker 61 box which is solid, sound and in good condition. Also included is the original instruction leaflet for filling a Parker 61 capillary pen. This is also in good condition and is a rarely seen item.
It is quite unusual to see a Parker 61 in Rage Red in such good condition and original packaging. Although clearly a vintage item it is robust and reliable, it would make an excellent every day user.
