Parker 75 Ecossais. Immaculate new old stock.

Regular price

The Parker 75 Ecossais, part of the prestigious Place Vendome collection, was made, in France from 1971.  This pen is one of a small batch of recently acquired new old stock Parkers.

The pen is in mint condition throughout, the engravings are razor sharp and the finish is excellent.  The edges of the pattern would 'smooth out' quickly as the pen is handled but these still have a brand new feel.

'Ecossais' translates, from French, as 'Scottish', the finely engraved pattern is very reminiscent of a Scottish plaid.  It is a very attractive and quite rare pattern.

The ring, or collar at the end of the gripping section is unusual in that it is gold plated and is engraved with reference lines to help 'remember' the setting of the nib which can be rotated to the optimum angle for a particular user.  This pen also has a '0' reference point, suggesting it is one of the earlies pens of it's type.

As is often the case with new old stock pens, it was unboxed so I have provided a high quality case which will serve well for transport, protection, and display.  An ink converter is fitted to the pen and a new cartridge will be included so it is ready to write in either configuration.

The Place Vendome pens are very collectable and the less common variants, such as the Ecossais come along very rarely in this condition.
