In immaculate condition, this flat top Parker Insignia Cisele was introduced in 1975, the year after the launch of the first Parker 75 model. In 1970 the flat ended cap and barrel stud were replaced with a dished design, but the small clip 'arrowhead' and positioning of the cap imprint date this example as close to 1965.
The pen is in mint condition throughout and may well be unused, although I have inked the pen, once, for testing purposes. It is fitted with the original metal ink converter and a new cartridge will be provided so it is ready to write in either configuration.
The 14 Ct. Gold nib writes with a smooth, fine line, ideal for someone with a small 'hand' or for more detailed work. Parker described the 75 nibs as 'semi-flexible', but I think it is better described as having a slightly 'soft' feel.
The Parker box, probably original, has a slight stain on the outside of the lid but it is sound and has a very clean satin lined interior.
The flat top Parker 75s are much sought after, and an Insignia Cisele in perfect condition is now very collectable, but perhaps such a beautiful pen should be used and shown off!
