Parker 75 Insignia Mk. II. Deep Cut Cisele Pattern.

Regular price £95.00

The Parker 75 Insignia, deep cut version, this pen, has much more pronounced squares than the earlier Insignia.  Made in the U.S.A., around 1970, it is a true 'Cisele', as it later became known.

The pen also differs from the standard Insignia in that the Parker name is at the back of the cap and, although not stamped, it is 23Ct. Gold filled, a little thin on the high points of the clip, whereas the original was 14CT.

The Cisele pattern shimmers as the pen catches the light and has the added attraction of not showing fingerprints.

The pen is constructed in Brass with a 23Ct. Gold filling and Gold filled 'stack of coins' dished end studs. The nib is 14Ct. Gold with a medium point.  The Parker 75 is a cartridge / converter filler, this pen is fitted with the original Parker aerometric type ink converter and is supplied with a new ink cartridge so it is ready to write in either configuration.

The 14 Ct. Gold nib can be rotated in the collar to give the optimum writing angle.  It has a fine point which writes smoothly, ideal for someone with a small 'hand' or for more detailed work.

The Parker 75 was a very expensive pen when new but succeeded because of the extremely high quality construction and timeless design.  Parker 75 Gold deep cut Ciseles are not easy to find and are much sought after.  The 75 makes a really good vintage daily user and also has a good deal of prestige.
