The Parker Classic in Laque Tourmaline was introduced in 1986 and discontinued in 1988, a relatively short production run. This pen carries a date code for the third quarter of 1986.
Tourmaline is a gemstone that occurs in a variety of colours, the most striking being the vibrant pink, as used in this deep lacquered Classic.
The pen is in excellent condition, with no signs of use. The bright pink and deep Gold fill combine to make it an outrageously attractive pen.
The box is also in very good, clean condition.
Due to the short production run and, perhaps, the limited market at the time for bright pink and gold pens the Classic Laque Tourmaline is now extremely hard to find. It is a high quality pen which, particularly in such good condition, is now quite collectable.
