Parker Duofold Slimfold in Red.

Regular price £50.00

The Parker Slimfold was added to the immensely successful Duofold range in 1962 and changed in 1968.  Despite the name the Slimfold is a very comfortable 14.5 cm. in length when posted for use, only marginally shorter than the Parker 51.  In use it is a good sized, and very elegant pen.

This pen is a fine example, made in England around in 1963, the nib carries a date code for that year.  The pen has been  thoroughly cleaned and checked inside and out and fully tested.  With only light user marks, the pen is in excellent vintage condition.  The cap is a smooth screw fit, it carries a Gold filled 'arrow' clip and a chevron decorated Gold filled cap band.  There are no cracks in the cap lip, this is a common and often undisclosed fault with Slimfolds, something to be very careful about.

The aerometric, squeeze bar filling system works well and is easy to use and the correct 14Ct. Gold No.5 nib writes with a smooth medium line. it is a very comfortable and easy writer.

The box is new, it will serve well for transportation, protection, and display.

The Parker Slimfold is a much underrated vintage fountain pen.  It would make a really good, practical, every day vintage writer.
