The Parker Insignia was introduced in 1991 only as a high end ballpoint or pencil, a fountain pen with the same name but a completely different profile followed in 1998.
This pencil is the Gold Filete version, the name translates from French as 'threaded', referring to the longitudinal grooved pattern.
The pencil featured a new and unique two stage button action continuous feed with a retracting tube shielding the lead that was designed to prevent the pencil from becoming stuck in the pocket.
This example is new old stock, it is in immaculate condition throughout with no signs of use or handling marks. At around 14 cm. in length it is a full sized, slim and elegant pencil with a high quality feel and eye-catching appearance.
