Parker Lady Duofold in blue

Regular price £55.00

Parker 'Ladies' come in a variety of shapes and sizes, this one is the original 'Lady Duofold' introduced in 1958, the most collectable of all the Parker Ladies.  It has a screw on cap and an 'art deco' cap band.  The more common Parker Lady is the 'Parker 17 Lady' introduced in U.S.A. in 1961, and closely followed by the Lady Standard, neither of which had a screw cap.

The pen has been fully serviced and tested and is in excellent condition.  The Blue surface his bright and vibrant, and the Gold filling to the clip and decorated cap band has held up very well.  The original 'pli glass' ink sac still has clarity to see the ink level, a sign of little, careful use.

The 14 Ct. Gold, number 4 nib writes with a super smooth, broad line with a pleasing soft feel. It is a great writer, needing only the lightest of touches.  Although it is a small pen, it is perfectly comfortable, when posted, for the average user.

The shape and proportions of the pen are reminiscent of a Parker 51, albeit much smaller, it is very much a member of the Duofold family, a delightful little pen.  The Lady Duofold would make a first class every day vintage writer.
