Parker U.K. Duofold Junior in black. Fine nib.

Regular price £50.00

The Parker Duofold Junior aerometric filler, this pen, was launched in 1962, although it had been around since 1953, when it was called a Parker Victory Mk.V.  The two pens are identical, save the imprint.

Finished in classic black with gold filled trim, it is over 15 cm. in length when capped, a good deal longer than the 'Standard' Duofold aerometric of the same period.  It it odd that a pen called a 'Junior' is a longer version of the standard pen, perhaps Parker were desperate to lose the 'Victory' name and couldn't think of anything better!

The pen has an excellent finish, a strong barrel imprint, and bright gold filling to the clip and decorated cap band.

Fully serviced and tested, the aerometric filling system works well and is easy to use.  The 14 Ct. gold nib, the correct No.10, writes with a firm, fine line, well suited to small  handwriting or detailed work.

The Parker Duofold Junior is a high quality gold nibbed pen with an excellent pedigree, it compares very favourably with a new pen of the same specification  at three times the price.  It would make a first class vintage daily writer.
