The Parker Victory Mk. lll was ony made for a very short period during 1947-1948 and is now quite a rare pen.
This example is finished ingrey with Gold filled twin cap bands and ball ended clip. The cap stud and blind cap are also dark green. The pen is in excellent vintage condition, in certain lights the barrel is slightly darker than the cap but it has very a good surface and a sharp barrel imprint.
The cap is a smooth screw fit, tightening with two full turns. The ball ended clip has the Parker name stamped longitudinally and the twin cap bands are gold plated.
At 13.5 cm. capped and 15cm. with the cap posted for use, this is a good sized pen with a solid, high quality feel. The barrel and cap are made from drilled rod stock rather than moulded or rolled plastic sheet.
The 'AF', meaning Aluminium Filler design filling system, has been overhauled and a new ink sac fitted. It is efficient and takes up a good volume of ink with one firm press of the button. The 14Ct Gold Parker nib, marked 'N' for the Newhaven factory, writes with a very smooth fine to medium line.
The Parker box is is in good. clean condition with only minor scuffs, it is almost certainly original and should be kept with the pen.
The Parker Victory Mk. lll is probably the least common of all the five Victory models. It is not at all easy to find and is now highly collectable.
