The Waterman Exception, instantly recognisable by the square shape, was the flagship Waterman pen when it was released in 2005.
This pen has the 'Blue Core' finish, a multi layered lacquer surface that was also used on the L'Etalon, the pen that was displaced by the Exception as the top of the range. Although described as the 'slim' version, the pen is of at least average width and is considerably longer than most when posted for use.
The pen is a cartridge/converter filler with an 18Ct. Gold nib with Rhodium plating to give a silver finish, the trim is also Rhodium plated, although some sources claim it to be Palladium.
The quality of the Exception is immediately apparent as the pen is handled, it is hard to define but impossible to miss, a very attractive and tactile pen.
This example is in super condition with few signs of use. It is fitted with the original Waterman ink converter and is presented in a new, high quality case.
