The Sheaffer Targa 1022, made from 1980 t0 1982, is constructed in brass with fourteen coats of hand applied lacquer which was hand polished to a brilliant deep shine. The trim is plated with 23Ct. Gold and the inlaid diamond nib is solid 14Ct.Gold.
One of a small batch of unused high end Sheaffer Targas, the pen is immaculate in all respects. As is often the case with new old stock pens, it came to me unboxed, the pens are only matched with a box at the point of sale. I have provided a new, high quality box for the pen.
The pen is a cartridge/converter filler. The original Sheaffer ink converter is fitted to the pen for use with bottled ink and a new ink cartridge is provided so the pen is ready to write in either configuration.
A full sized, version one luxury Targa, the 1022 is a high end pen with a good deal of presence. One of the more collectable Targas, it would also make a very practical and attractive daily writer.
