This Silver Pencil was made by Mentmore, probably in the mid nineteen thirties. It is a rare item and is in very good working order with just a couple of small dings and a small crack on the shoulder of the clip. The pencil is clearly stamped: 'Life-Long Sterling silver' just under the finial, has a blank cartouche and an engine turned 'barley wave' pattern.
Clearly a high quality item, the pencil has a very solid feel, a most tactile item.
