The Morrison's pen company, not to be confused with the supermarket, was founded around 1910 in New York. This gold fillled overlay lever filler dates to the 1920s.
The pen has been restored and tested and is in excellent working condition. There is a crack in the black end stud, as shown, it is purely cosmetic and is reflected in the price. The 14Ct. gold filling has survived remarkably well, it is bright, shows no brassing, and is ding free.
The original Morrisons 14 Ct. gold nib has been well used but is a great writer. It produces a broad line and has flex, ideally suited to someone with a large, bold 'hand. At an impressive 16Cm. length when posted it is a long and well balanced pen with a good deal of presence.
