The Parker 95 was introduced in 1988 to replace the second version of the Parker Arrow, and was discontinued to make room for the Sonnet in 1994. This pen carries a date code for the third quarter of 1993, so it is one of the last 95s.
The pen is in unused condition and comes in its original hard plastic box along with the instruction/guarantee leaflet. There is not more to say about the condition of the pen other than it is as it was when it was first sold.
A cartridge/converter filler, the pen is supplied with the original metal ink converter in place. This is important as a 'standard' ink converter won't fit the slim barrel. A new ink cartridge will also be supplied so the pen is ready to write in either configuration.
Parker adopted the name 'Flighter' for all its brushed stainless steel pens, a term that was coined by Kenneth Parker who seems to have had something of an obsession with aeroplanes.
The Parker 95 Flighter GT is a good sized, slim pen with 23Ct. Gold plated clip and end studs. The cap 'clicks securely into place and meets almost seamlessly with the barrel giving the pen a sleek, uncluttered appearance. The cap also fits snugly onto the barrel when posted, although the pen is long enough to be used comfortably with the cap set aside.
The 95 Flighter GT is a robust, practical pen and a renowned writer. It would make a great vintage pen for every day use.
