Made in 2002, the Parker Sonnet Laque Ruby Red was a Premier pen with an 18Ct. Gold nib that sat at the very top of the Sonnet range, it was discontinued in 2008.
The set, comprising a fountain pen and ballpoint, is immaculate in all respects and could well be unused. It is presented in the original box along with the clip tags and has a Parker de Luxe screw type ink converter fitted. The card outer box carries a label ientfying the set.
The set was made in Meru, France and carries a date code for the third quarter of 2002. The pen first appeared in the 2003 catalogue but the first pens must have been made in 2002 and, no doubt, Parker would have made them available for christmas of that year.
This is an ourageously attractive top quality pen set. A new Parker Sonnet with an 18Ct. nib, pen alone, currently retails at £350.
