The Parker Sonnet was introduced in 1994 to replace the Parker 75. In 1998 the new style Sonnet Premier with a wide cap band and 18Ct. gold nib was added at the very top of the line. This Laque Blue Premier version, in absolutely superb condition, is date stamped for 2000, it was discontinued in 2003.
The pen is constructed in brass and finished with multiple layers of lacquer to give a deep lustrous shine in blue with a darker swirl. The clip and new wide cap band is 23 Ct. Gold plated, and the pen is fitted with an 18Ct. Gold nib, only used on the Premier pens.
The pen is presented in the correct, very heavy, high quality clamshell box, along with a sturdy outer cardboard case. It is fitted with the original De Luxe ink converter and is supplied with a new ink cartridge so it is ready to write in either configuration.
The pen has never been inked and is in showroom condition throughout. It is an outrageously attractive pen with a good deal of presence.
