When Parker completed the takeover of the Valentine pen company at Newhaven the first pen to be produced was the Parker Victory and one of the colours was named 'Light and Dark Burgundy Pearl and Black', this pen.

Fully serviced and tested, the pen is in first class working condition. It is constructed in celluloid with hard rubber end studs with a Gold filled cap band and ball ended clip.  The surface has a deep shine and the gold filling is in very good order.  The cap is a smooth screw fit, tightening with two and a half turns.

The pen is a button filler, it takes up a good volume of ink with a single operation of the filler button.  The correct 14 Ct. gold nib is straight and well aligned, it is stamped with the letter 'N' for Newhaven.  It has good ink flow and writes with a very smooth medium line, firm but with the pleasing 'soft' feel that Parker managed to build in to these early nibs.

The Victory went on through four more variations but the Mk.1 is, by far, the most collectable, this colour particularly so.  It is a very high quality pen, at least the equal of anything that Parker U.K. had produced, and would make an excellent daily writer.
