The Parker Victory Mk. ll was ony made for a very short period during 1946-1947 and is now quite a rare pen.
This example is finished in dark green with Gold filled twin cap bands and ball ended clip. The cap stud and blind cap are also dark green. With only light usage marks the pen is in excellent vintage condition with a good surface and a very sharp barrel imporint.
The cap is a smooth screw fit, tightening with two and a quarter turns. The clip has the Parker name stamped longitudinally and the cap bands are slightly raised, in the style of the original Parker Duofold pens of the nineteen twenties.
The button operated filling system has been overhauled and a new ink sac fitted. It is efficient and easy to use, taking up a good volume of ink. The 14Ct Gold Parker nib, marked 'N' for the Newhaven factory, writes with a pleasing amount of flex, anyone with a decent 'hand' would produce impressive results.
The box is new, it will serve well for protection, transport, and display.
The Parker Victory Mk. ll is the first, and most streamlined version of the U.K Duofolds, quite similar the the streamlined American Doufolds of the 1930s. It is not easy to find and is now very collectable.
