Rolled Gold Parker Arrow. Boxed and Immaculate. 1987.

Regular price

The Parker Arrow, the name 'borrowed' from a Parker 45 pen made twenty years earlier, was introduced, in the U.S.A., in 1982.  This rolled Gold pen was made in France in the third quarter of 1987, it was the last year for the Arrow.

The pen is totally immaculate in all respects, almost certainly unused.  It shows no handling marks, the ink converter 'nozzle has no trace of ink, and the inside of the cap is spotless, as shown in the photograph.  The ink sac in the converter is unstained, they were made with a blue tint.

It has a 'fluted' pattern, consisting of deep 'V section' grooves which catch the light as the pen is moved giving a 'glittering' effect.  This was only found on the later French pens, the U.S.A. made model was plain 12 Ct. but the French pen is fluted 23Ct. Gold.

The Parker box is similarly pristine and includes an instruction leaflet and two new ink cartridges.  The original ink converter is fitted to the pen so it is ready to write in either configuration.

Immaculate, top of the range pens are not at all easy to find and this example is clearly of collectable quality, but it would also make an eye catching and practical daily writer.
