The Sheaffer Agio Compact was introduced in 2002 and discontinued in 2004, a relatively short production run.
This is the 9002 version, finished in layered lacquer over a brass cap and barrel with a textured resin section. The Agio is aptly named, it means 'comfort' in the Italian language, the pen is a small, comfortable pen in use.
This is a totally mint example, it is presented in the original luxury Sheaffer box along with two unused ink cartridges.
The Agio Compact has 22Ct. Gold plated trim and nib and was a high enough quality pen to be given the Sheaffer 'White Dot'.
