The Sheaffer Imperial lV, introduced in 1961, was, visually, a scaled down version of the PFM lll. This is a fine example of a Sheaffer Imperial lV pencil, in Black with Gold filled trim.
In excellent condition throughout, the pencil has a rotary mechanism which works by rotating the cap to expel and retract the lead.
At 13 cm. in length, it is a good sized, slim and attractive pencil with a solid, high quality feel. The clip carries the Sheaffer 'white dot' sign of quality.
At well over fifty years old, it is a true vintage item but still looks very stylish and performs well. It would make a first class daily vintage writer.
