Waterman 502 fountain pen.

Regular price

The Waterman's 502 fountain pen, made in England in the 1940s, is a robust and well made lever filler.

This pen, finished in brown with Gold filled clip, lever, and cap band is a remarkably fine example in an uncommon colour.

The pen has an excellent surface with a deep shine and strong barrel imprint.  The cap is a smooth screw fit, tightening securely with one and a quarter turns and the Gold trim is bright and in good order.

The pen has been fully restored and tested.  The lever filling system works well and takes up a good volume of ink.  The 'Ideal' nib would have been an expensive upgrade option, it is 14Ct. Gold and writes with a good deal of flex.  Someone with a decent' hand' would enjoy producing impressive results.

At 15.5 cm, over six inches in length when posted the 502 is a long and handsome pen with a good, solid, high quality feel.  It would make a first class vintage pen for every day use, the unusual colour and Ideal nib make it a bit special.
