The Danish Parker Duofold 'New Style' was made, under licence from Parker, by the Christian Olsen company. First generation pens, all senior size, such as this example, were double jewelled and carried an 'anchor' imprint. Only the earliest pens had this 'split arrow' clip, it was soon replaced by the later clip style.
This pen is part of a recently acquired collection of Danish Parker pens, they are much less common than the British or American pens and are highly collectable.
The pen has been restored, tested, and is in excellent working condition throughout. It has a showroom finish, a clear imprint with the Danish 'anchor' motif, and excellent gold trim. The 'Olive Green' colour is the least common of the colours, only produced in Denmark and much sought after.
The 14Ct. Gold Denmark nib writes with a very smooth medium line and has a most pleasing soft feel, offering a littlle line variation to add character to the writing. At an impressive 157 mm. with the cap posted, it is a large, well balanced pen with a solid, high quality feel.
The Danish twin jewelled Duofolds are extremely hard to find, particularly in this rare colour, and are very collectable.
