The Swan 3320 was one of the first pens produced by Mabie Todd after the cessation of WW2 hostilities in 1945. The main factory in Harlesden London was destroyed by German bombs in the 'blitz' in 1940 and the few machines that were rescued were put to work for the war effort for the duration of the war.
The model number, 3320 is not hard to decipher. The first digit is the filler type (3 for a lever filler), the second digit is the nib size (3), and the last two digits give the colour (20 for 'Midnight Blue').
At 13cm. capped and a 1.2 cm. girth it has quite a 'chunky' appearance but , when posted it grows to an most impressive 16cm., a centimetre longer than a posted Parker 51. It has a well balanced and high quality 'feel'.
The pen has been restored and tested and is in excellent working condition.
