The Conway Stewart 84 was made, in England, in the 1950s. It is a mid sized lever filler that was produced in Black and a number of marbled colours. This pen is described as 'Marbled Pink with gold Veins', I think that describes it very well.
The pen has been fully restored and tested and is in excellent, working condition. the surface is bright and vibrant with a clear imprint, the Gold filling has held up well.
At 11.5cm. capped, 14.7 cm. posted, and with a good girth, it is a handsome and well balanced, quite 'chunky' pen. The filling system works well and the 14 Ct. Gold Conway Stewart nib writes a broad line with a good flex, allowing line variation to give character to the writing. Someone with a decent 'hand' would enjoy some impressive results.
