Made in the early 1950s, the Conway Stewart Executive 60 is, as the name suggests, a high end, top quality pen from one of the leading English pen manufacturers.
Fully restored and tested, the pen is finished in a grey hatched pattern with a wide gold filled cap band and clip, secured by a polished aluminium cap stud. It is a large, conservatively attractive pen.
Fitted with a new ink sac, the lever filling system works well and the reground 14Ct. gold duro nib delivers a super smooth broad line and offers some line variation from the stub profile.
An executive 60 in such good condition is highly collectable but this example would also make a first class daily user for someone who enjoys writindg with a flourish.
