The Esterbrook CH pen, made in the early 1950s, is a smaller version of the more common J series. Advertised as a 'purse pen', it was made in black and a number of 'pastel' shades, this yellow version is one of the less common colours.
The pen is in very good condition and is presented it it's original box, almost pristine. The pen has barely visible stress lines at the cap lip that do not extend beyond the cap ring. The colour is bright and unfaded, the end caps on the early Pastel pens were black, as in this case. Later pens had colour coded end caps.
The pen has been serviced and tested. The lever filling system works well and the 2668 nib is an outstanding writer, delivering a suoer smooth mediumline with no pressure needed.
This is, by no means, a common pen, unfaded yellow pens are particularly hard to come by.
