The Harley Davidson pen, designed by Ines Dugelay, for Stypen, was licenced by Harley Davidson Motorcycles and made in France between 1989 and 1995.
Finished in multi layered lacquered metallic Alpine Green with red highlights, the pen is in immaculate condition. The design uses a 'piston' motif for the cap stud, cap ring, and barrel end, all heavily chrome plated. The green and red colour combination is prominent in Harley Davidson bikes, Alpine Green has been revived in 2024 for the Harley Breakout FXBR, as shown in the last photograph.
The clip is sprung and can be operated by pressing the top, which has the Harley logo on the front and 'France' on the back. The logo is repeated on the end of the cap stud along with the individual serial number 2141085.
Presented in its original box, the pen is immaculate in all respects, it could well be unused.
A cartridge/converter filler, a new cartridge is included, the Harley Davidson pen is an extremely well made, superb quality pen with an appealing 'quirkiness'. It has a great 'chunky', quite heavy feel, a very tactile item.
