The Mabie Todd Swan 3350 was made, in England in the 1940s. This pen is dark brown in colour with Gold filled clip and triple cap bands.
It has been fullly restored and tested, the lever filling system takes up a good volume of ink and the 14Ct. Gold Swan No.2 nib writes with flex. With a light touch it produces a fine line, a little pressure gives a medium to broad line. In the right hands this gives a pleasing character to the writing, it's a pity my scrawl does it no justice.
The surface is excellent and the barrel imprint is crisp and clear. The filling lever shows a little pitting but the Gold fill on the clip and triple cap rings is in good order. The dark brown colour is particularly attractive, unfortunately it appears almost black in the photographs.
At 15 cm. capped it is a good sized and well balanced pen with a solid, high quality feel.
