The Parker 180 was introduced in 1979, and transformed into the Parker Classic line in 1986. This example carries a date code for the last quarter of 1982.
Finished in deep red lacquer with a Silver/Rhodium plated cap, the pen is in superb condition throughout and could well be new old stock
The 180 is a slim pen and standard Parker converters won't fit so the inclusion of the original metal ink converter is an important issue with these pens. A Parker ink cartridge is supplied so the pen is ready to write in either configuration.
A useful feature of the 180 is the flared band at the end of the barrel. This 'clicks' into the cap when the cap is posted to prevent the rim of the cap making contact with, and scratching, the barrel when the pen is in use.
The outstanding featuure of the Parker 180 is the long triangulsr nib with a metal strengthening strut at the top edge. It is a unique and attractive design but could be lethal in the wrong hands.
