Parker 21 Super in Blue. Superb Condition.

Regular price

The Parker 21 Mk.1 was only made from 1948 to 1951 when the section and cap design were modified for the Mk. 2 version, a more practical pen than the original.  In 1956 the Parker 21 Super, this pen, was introduced.  The 21 was discontinued in 1965, probably because the Parker 45 was now a competitor.

This is a particularly fine example of a Parker 21 Super. Finished in blue, with a stainless steel cap and the redesigned 'arrow' clip, it is in mint condition and could well be new old stock. The original pli-glass ink sac is clear and unstained, it has a showroom finish and ding free cap.

The 21 Super differs from earlier versions in that the 'writing end' is almost idenntical to that of the Parker 51, the nib being made from 'octanium' tather than  gold as on the 51. It has the same 'ink collector', a multi finned devise that serves as a second ink reservoir and improves ink flow.

The box is new, it is high quality and will serve well for transportation, protection and  display.

The Parker 21 is an extremely good choice as an unusual and dependable every day writer.
