The Parker 51 Aerometric filler sleeve was changed to a one piece tube in 1965 and the Mk.lll. was introduced in 1969. This is a Mk.ll pen with the new sleeve so it was produced between these dates. Some late Mk. ll pens also have has a '51' stamp on the cap, as in this pen.
Finished in India Black, the pen has a flawless surface and the lustralloy cap is totally ding free. The chrome plared clip is straight and is retained by a bush with a pearl coloured stud.
The pen has been fully serviced and tested. It fills well and the 14 Ct. Gold nib writes with a super smooth and consistent medium line.
The Parker 51 is the most successful pen ever made and has achieved iconic status. It is a stylish and timelessly attractive pen with a great deal of prestige, a first rate daily writer.
