The Parker 61 Stratus, along with the Cumulous and the Cirrus formed the Parker 61 'Cloud Series' pens which were introduced at the top of the range in 1975.
Made in England, this Stratus pen isin immaculate condition throughout and shows no sign of use, it is part of a recently acquired collection new old stock Parker 61 and 65s. The box is similarly pristine.
The pen is gold filled with a cloud pattern formed with finely engraved lines, this is extremely attractive and has the advantage of not showing fingerprints as easily as the gold filled Custom pens.
A cartridge/converter filler, it is fitted with the original Parker ink converter and a new ink cartridge is supplied so it is ready to write in either configuration.
The Cloud series pens were very expensive, only made for a relatively short time and were the last of the Parker 61 pen models. Mint condition pens are already highly sought after and likely to become very collectable.
