The Parker 61 Flighter De Luxe was introduced in 1970 and the cap stud was changed in 1975 to a Gold filled stud, as in this pen. The 61 was discontinued around 1981.
The Flighter De Luxe differed from the standard Flighter in that it featured a Gold filled clip and cap stud. This is a fine example, it is in very good condition with the lightest of usage marks. A new refill has been fitted, as the originalhad dried with age.
The all steel construction of the Flighter ballpoint is very robust and the Gold filling on the De Luxe version adds more class, it would make an excellent vintage daily writer.
