The Parker '88' was launched, not surprisingly, in 1988. This pen is a matt black epoxy coated version in as new condition with all the original packing.
The pen is in mint, uninked and unused condition. It is strikingly attractive and bears no handling or storage marks. At 15.7cm., over six inches, in length when posted for use, it is a long and elegant pen with a very good balance and feel. The matt finish doesn't show fingerprints and contrasts really well with the Gold trim. The cap snaps firmly in position with a satisfying 'click' and posts securely on the end of the barrel.
In 1992 the 88 Mk.1 was discontinued, a short production run for Parker at the time.
The pen is a cartridge/converter filler. It is fitted with the original Parker ink converter for use with bottled ink, and an ink cartridge is supplied so it is ready for use in either configuration.
